The Back of House (BOH) Director oversees all kitchen operations, food safety standards, inventory control, and kitchen team leadership. This role ensures the highest standard of food quality, speed of service, and kitchen cleanliness while maintaining profitability and driving team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development: Lead and motivate a dynamic team to deliver delicious food with high standards. Recruit, train, coach, and mentor BOH team leaders and team members. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Lead and motivate a dynamic team to deliver delicious food with high standards.
• Food Safety & Quality Assurance: Enforce strict adherence to Chick-fil-A food safety and quality standards, local health regulations, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. Create and maintain a strong food safety culture
• Operational Excellence: Oversee back of house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. Direct kitchen flow during peak hours to achieve speed-of-service targets while ensuring accuracy and product quality.
• Inventory & Cost Management: Oversee kitchen inventory management, food waste reduction, labor efficiency, ordering, and food cost controls.
• Equipment & Cleanliness: Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, sanitized, and operated according to safety guidelines. Maintain kitchen cleanliness at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in quick-service or restaurant operations.
• Certifications : ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, time management, and financial acumen (food/labor cost control).Physical Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25+ lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Availability: Ability to work on-site with availability on weekends, weekdays, and holidays. Reliable transportation.
