Currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Respiratory Therapist, your role will involve administering therapy modalities as prescribed by physicians, managing all aspects of mechanical ventilation (including initiation, operation, and monitoring), and conducting arterial punctures and blood gas analyses. You will also respond to code blue emergencies in designated areas.

• Assist in the transport of ventilated and critically ill patients.
• Confirm physician orders prior to administering therapy.
• Provide thorough and accurate reports to incoming staff at the end of your shift.
• Document all patient interactions in the appropriate systems.
• Conduct equipment rounds regularly.

Requirements:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), with licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Degree in Respiratory Therapy (AAS or BS).
• A minimum of one year of critical care experience.
• Experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Prior experience with mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
