Job Description: The client is seeking a hands-on Software Developer with strong Python and SQL expertise to design, build, and own scalable software solutions that support analytics, reporting, automation, and business workflows.
Job Summary
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions using Python and SQL
- Build APIs, services, integrations, and analytics-focused applications supporting business workflows and reporting
- Translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions, owning projects from requirements through deployment
- Evaluate technical and architectural decisions independently, communicating the rationale clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with developers, product partners, and cross-functional teams following best practices around version control, testing, CI/CD, reliability, and maintainability
- Contribute to emerging technology initiatives, including AI-enabled applications and automation
Minimum Requirements
- 4-7 years of professional software development or software engineering experience
- Strong hands-on development experience with Python and SQL
- Experience designing and building APIs, services, or integrations
- Experience developing software that supports analytics and data-driven business use cases
- Strong understanding of software architecture, application design, and development best practices
- Demonstrated ability to own software solutions through the full development lifecycle
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with analytics, reporting, visualization, or business intelligence applications
- Experience with cloud technologies and modern deployment practices
- Exposure to AI-enabled applications or automation
- Experience contributing to a small, hands-on development team within a large corporate environment
- Financial services background is a plus but not required
