Senior Data Platform Engineer

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant professional experience.
• We prefer Azure or Microsoft Fabric certifications.
• We need 5+ years of experience building production-ready software, with substantial exposure to data platforms, cloud services, or AI-enabled systems.
• We look for strong hands-on experience with Azure data technologies and modern data architecture approaches.
• We require proficiency in SQL and solid software engineering fundamentals, including data modeling, APIs, testing, and version control.
• We expect experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud infrastructure.

• We build reliable ingestion, transformation, and serving layers that support analytics, AI, and operational use cases.
• We contribute to end-to-end delivery of data and AI solutions, including data pipelines, semantic models, APIs, and consumption layers.
• We ensure our solutions meet expectations for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
• We help modernize legacy systems toward cloud-native and AI-enabled architectures.
• We optimize pipelines, queries, and services for scale, resilience, and operational excellence.
• We partner with analytics, AI/ML, and application teams to deliver reusable data assets, shared services, and self-service capabilities.
• We support downstream use cases such as dashboards, advanced analytics, and machine learning workloads.
• We apply and advocate best practices for software engineering, CI/CD, testing, observability, and infrastructure as code.
• We contribute to standards for data quality, governance, lineage, security, and monitoring using tools such as DataDog and Microsoft Purview.
• We provide technical guidance and code reviews for peers and junior engineers.
• We collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional partners to deliver high-impact solutions.
