Title: Kitchen Supervisor

Summary:  The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for leading and being the subject matter expert in blending, mixing, and potentially cooking ingredients for batches of food product per Company formula prepared as required by daily production schedule.  

Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Monitoring employee performance and providing feedback to help them improve their skills.
• Scheduling shifts, hiring new employees, training new hires, and evaluating current staff members to ensure they are meeting company standards.
• Evaluating the condition of equipment and ordering supplies as needed
• Working with management to develop new recipes and menu items that will appeal to customers.
• Making sure that all food preparation areas are clean and always organized.
• Ensuring that food is stored properly to prevent spoilage or contamination.
• Ensuring that all food handling regulations are followed to prevent food-borne illnesses.
• Monitoring the quality of the food being prepared by ensuring that it meets company standards.
• Maintaining inventory of all food items stored in the warehouse or refrigerators to ensure there is enough on hand for regular business operations.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in industrial kitchen or food manufacturing industry highly preferred.

• Must be able to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion. 
• Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work in a wet and/or humid environment. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur. Exposure to nut allergens.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
