Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts) | Call required

Key Responsibilities

• Recover post-operative patients across a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, neurological, general, urology, dental (adult and pediatric), GYN, and pediatric ENT (tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, bilateral myringotomy tubes, etc.)
• Monitor and manage patients with nerve blocks, chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, and intubation
• Provide coverage and support in the Pre-Op area as needed
• Monitor pediatric patients post-operatively and apply critical care principles as required
• Participate in on-call coverage including some holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted at submission; must be active prior to start)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU or relevant nursing experience
• Experience with pediatric patients in a post-operative or critical care setting
• Experience recovering patients across multiple surgical specialties (excluding cardiac surgery)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level II trauma center experience
• Critical care background strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
