Position Elementary Teacher Location Dearborn, MI Job Id 5345 Openings 1 Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K‑5 Certification Responsibilities Create lesson plans to teach students subjects and complete report cards. Teach students how to interact with others, share work together, and problem‑solve. Observe students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Report to the Principal. Maintain an up‑to‑date teaching license and/or degree in elementary education. Meet requirements established by the Archdiocese of Detroit. Complete or be willing to complete Protecting God’s Children Training. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students. Maintain a safe learning environment for students. Understand the needs of school‑aged children. Build meaningful, caring relationships with students. Support students to ensure their social, emotional, nutritional, and health needs are addressed. Hold ongoing instructional‑specific conversations focused on improving student learning. Align curriculum, instruction, and assessments while responding to individual student needs. Develop organized routines, communicate clear expectations, and grow a positive school culture. Build a professional environment one of mutual respect, teamwork, and accountability. Seek instructional support from knowledgeable peers, students, support services, or administrators in the quest to deliver high‑quality, subject‑specific instruction to increase achievement.
