About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous stepdown experience required; at least 1 travel contract completed preferred. License: State license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, central lines experience required - Experience with medications: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban; some titration required - Driver’s License required - Work history/resume required - Skills checklist must have been completed within 1 year of submission date required - License verification required - One supervisory reference required at time of submission Description: The traveler will be a member of the interdisciplinary team. They will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may float within the same discipline across local campuses. This unit has historically maintained a 1:7 patient ratio. The high volume of open travel needs is a direct response to fix this ratio. The more travelers who fill the vacancies, the lower the ratio will be. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Candidates must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.
