Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for critically ill patients across multiple units. The role involves floating between ICU settings and other acute care units to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients following established protocols.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and diagnostic tests, including ABGs and cardiac rhythms.
• Manage and assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central line placement, and ventilator management.
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac medication drips to ensure patient stability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, PPE, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid Washington state registered nurse license or license application in progress.
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred; 1 year considered if recent in large facility.
• Recent Epic EMR experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS in hand before start date.
• Trauma experience and proficiency in arrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Ability to float between ICU and other acute care units as needed.
