- Oversee the completion of first article inspection reports and certifications of conformance, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and timely delivery.
- Maintain and enforce standards, methods, and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation throughout the production process.
- Participate in third-party audits with external bodies such as certification organizations and customers, representing the quality function effectively.
- Analyze departmental-level quality data and prepare reports that support continuous improvement and management decision-making.

- Proven knowledge of quality processes, standards, and methodologies across inspection, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Experience with quality control and quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
- Ability to interpret and apply industry standards and customer requirements in a production environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and quality-related information across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and managerial skills, including the ability to lead and motivate a diverse quality team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint for reporting, documentation, and presentations.
- Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities and schedules under tight deadlines.
- Strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Analytical skills to interpret quality data, identify trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality management systems in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability industries.
- Familiarity with electronics inspection and validation processes, including AOI and X-ray inspection.
- Exposure to PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and supplier quality management practices.
- Experience supporting or participating in third-party audits by certification bodies or customers.
- Comfort working with data-driven quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Professional, composed disposition with the ability to represent the quality function effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
