Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Cincinnati, OH. The Executive Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a passion for culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and management.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate in menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management.
• Monitor food costs and work to minimize waste while maintaining quality.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.
• Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
• Maintain strong communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Creative mindset with a passion for food and innovation.
• Relevant culinary degree or certification preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
