Data Architect

Overview

We are seeking a Data Management Architect who will support our client. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical and analytical expertise, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing Data Management solutions. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance across the organization, while also driving efficiency improvements through automation and process optimization.

Duties

• Design and implement scalable DM solutions, including data modeling, data quality, governance, and integration strategies.
• Lead the definition and implementation of DM architecture principles and design patterns for various styles, ensuring smooth data publishing and subscribing for applications.
• Utilize programming languages (Python, R, SQL) for data manipulation, analysis, and process automation.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Informatica.
• Build and deploy DM solutions and integrations on cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS.
• Analyze existing DM architectures and develop roadmaps for optimization.
• Research emerging DM trends and refine technology strategy.
• Act as a business analyst, gathering requirements, performing fit-gap analysis, and preparing documentation.
• Identify automation opportunities in data conversion and integration processes to improve efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to data governance policies and security measures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and resolve issues.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience as an Architect.
• 4-7 years in data management architecture, data modeling, governance, and data quality.
• 4-7 years proficiency in reporting, visualization, dashboarding, data warehousing and analytics.
• 4-7 years of experience with building and deploying solutions on AWS and GCP, including relevant cloud services.
• 4-7 years of experience with building data warehouses, reporting, and analytics.
• 2-3 years of experience in Python, SQL, API and Webservices for data integration.
• 2-3 years of experience in conducting fit-gap analysis, document requirements, and facilitate workshops.
• 2-3 years of experience identifying and implementing automation for process improvement.
• 3-5 years of experience working in a federal or state government setting.
