Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Albany, NY 12208

Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, includes a 30-minute break)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements
Call Requirement: One weekday night per week and one weekend per month

Position Description

Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who perform diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist. This role supports invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and peripheral vascular study procedures. Through accurate data collection and documentation, the technologist provides critical information used to establish correct anatomical and physiological diagnoses for each patient.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduation from an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or accredited Allied Health Program
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty
Current and maintained certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Advanced knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, patient monitoring, and radiation safety
Ability to work independently and support Cath Lab operations in a fast-paced clinical environment
