Manufacturing Engineer

A growing defense technology company is hiring a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to take new electro‑mechanical products from design through production. This is a build‑it role. You'll own the processes, the tooling, and the technical calls that turn a design package into a product that ships. Relocation to the DMV is required What you’ll do Take new products from development into production alongside R&D, design, and supply chain Develop and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and assembly methods Own the technical data package: interpret engineering drawings, PCBA schematics, BOMs, and specs for internal teams and suppliers Define and optimize assembly and test processes for electro‑mechanical systems Run root cause analysis and corrective action on production issues Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement What you’ll need 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, ideally electro‑mechanical or defense/aerospace Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field Hands‑on New Product Introduction (NPI) and design‑for‑manufacturing (DFM) experience Fluent in SolidWorks and reading engineering drawings with GD&T Strong electro‑mechanical assembly background Nice to have PCBA, BOM, and TDP experience Compensation and benefits Base salary $105,000–$115,000, plus a full benefits package: medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, and paid time off.
