We are a fast-paced and agile company seeking a best-in-class Electrical & Instrumentation Technician who is ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the field. #MKD #Industria Responsibilities Provides technical expertise to plant personnel during equipment problems, repair, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations Sets up, calibrates, tests, measures, and repairs electrical controls, instruments, and electronic components Collects equipment operation history and data to facilitate reliability improvements Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions and documents failure analysis Performs preventative maintenance of equipment and instrument calibrations Plans and performs work requiring knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories, writing specifications, electrical codes, material properties, and operation of electronic equipment Is a proactive team member who seeks process improvements and maintains a preventative attitude Monitors controls and electrical equipment to ensure effective and efficient service Ensures preventative maintenance procedures follow SOPs and SSOPs in a timely manner Sets up and operates tools used to diagnose and repair equipment Dismantles functional systems and tests components Starts systems, observes operation, reads and calibrates gauges and instruments, and adjusts valves, controls, and pumps to manage fluid, pressure, and temperature Maintains a neat, clean, and organized maintenance shop and assigned areas Configures Hart smart devices using a HART communicator Works with the maintenance department to solidify electrical repairs and assist with projects Demonstrates sound work ethic and supports greater teamwork Follows OSHA and safety regulations and L.O.T.O policies Effectively communicates safety issues to managers and the safety department Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in the field Associate’s degree in Instrumentation or certification Ability to test, calibrate, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic devices and equipment Proficient with single- and three-phase motors and motor control systems Ability to install and troubleshoot PLCs, AC and DC drives Skilled in installing electrical gear, equipment, and devices Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to understand installation procedures Physical demands The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; lifting from knee to shoulder height Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping; pushing and/or pulling in environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, or with fumes or odors What you’ll love about us MKD employees are the company’s greatest assets. This range reflects base pay and does not include benefits or bonuses. Individual pay is determined by geographic location, job-related skills, experience, and education or training.
