Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, holistic, and patient- and family-centered care that progresses patients toward self-identified goals
• Perform the full nursing process — assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation — to deliver safe and therapeutic care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and seek additional resources when managing complex, new, unusual, or high-risk clinical situations
• Serve as a patient and family advocate to ensure excellent and satisfying care experiences
• Promote quality outcomes through consistent application of evidence-based nursing practices
• Deliver direct and indirect care for an assigned group of patients using age-specific and individualized approaches

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License required
• Current CPR certification required
• NIH certification required
• BSN or ADN required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in an RN role
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a specialty area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, and CO2 monitoring
• Experience with hemodialysis, non-invasive ventilation, trach care, and chest tube management
• Skilled in IV therapy including drawing blood via CVAD and Midline catheters, vascular access care, and line reconciliation
• Familiarity with CAUTI, CLABSI, and HAPI prevention protocols, as well as effective communication using ISBARR methodology
