About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9.5 Experience: One year of clinical experience in intravenous nursing or equivalent background in an oncology, medical-surgical, critical care, or home infusion setting required. Two years of oncology-focused intravenous nursing including the administration of chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and blood products preferred. License: BLS/CPR certification required. Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required within six months of hire. Certifications: Oncology Nurse Society certified (OCN) preferred. Must-Have: Proficient in the care, maintenance, and accessing of central lines. Description: Completion of oncology-specific continuing education units required for accreditation. Must be able to administer and manage chemotherapy, biotherapy, and blood products. Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values. Manage side effects and complications related to infusion therapies. Experience with accessing and managing ports. Understanding of isolation precautions and personal protective equipment. Ability to perform intravenous hydration, phlebotomy, and central line management. Familiarity with chemotherapy administration and monitoring. Ability to coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams. Preference for experience with Epic charting system. Candidates must provide a complete work history with no gaps greater than 30 days.
