Embark on a fulfilling full-time contract as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a supportive school environment near Morganton, NC for the 2026–2027 academic year. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated educational team to deliver high-quality speech and language services to approximately 43 students at the elementary level. This school-based position starts August 10, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027, with a consistent weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week).
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and school-based caseloads strongly valued
- Strong preference for candidates currently licensed as an SLP in North Carolina
- Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload while collaborating with educators, families, and allied professionals
- Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for K–5 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, addressing articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic skills
- Document student progress and monitor outcomes toward IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, consulting with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district policies and procedures
