Caregiver Position

We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate caregiver to join our team. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Caregiver Responsibilities

Caregivers at Charis Hearts provide non-medical in-home and/or community care based on the Client Service Plan. Responsibilities may include:

• Client Support & Care Perform client wellness checks to ensure their well-being. Assist clients with completing admission documents as needed. Help train other caregivers on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in the client's home. Provide non-medical support to agency service recipients.
• Compliance & Documentation Be familiar with and follow all rules, policies, and procedures related to service delivery. Submit all required documentation accurately and on time. Adhere to the individual service plan for each recipient. Maintain strict confidentiality of all client records and information unless authorized by written consent.
• Safety & Reporting Immediately report any incidents of injury involving the service recipient or yourself to your supervisor. Report any suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities and your supervisor.

Caregiver Job Duties & Qualifications

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have valid State ID/Drivers License.
• Strong communication skills – both oral and written.
• Reliable transportation to and from client locations.
• Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Honesty and integrity in all interactions.
• Willingness to attend training sessions provided by referring agencies and/or the Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities (MHDD).
