A manufacturing company in Manasses, VA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This person will be responsible for handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions. Additional job duties include preparing and maintaining journal entries and general ledger reconciliations, assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, reconciling bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts, and more. Must have a no job is too small mentality!
• Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role.• Working knowledge of journal entry preparation and general ledger accounting.
• Hands-on experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to complete account reconciliations with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Familiarity with financial close activities on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
• Strong organizational skills and a willingness to take ownership of a wide range of accounting tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a Contract position within a dynamic business environment.
