Registered Nurse

Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Follows professional standards and state regulations. Completes nursing database and care plan with concise and pertinent information. Reports findings to physician. Performs nursing procedures and interventions safely and efficiently. Demonstrates technical skill in nursing care. Safely defuses anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage. Identifies patient learning needs and provides education. Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of delegation. Effectively utilizes information provided in annual training and follows nurse practice act. Shifts will vary.
