Job Description Quality Assurance and Food Safety Technician Location: Garland, TX, US Job Type: Full-Time Date Posted: 07-15-2026 Overview Our company is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Technician. This position plays a vital role in our engineering to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of our food production processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our HACCP and GMP programs, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and overseeing the manufacturing process to ensure high-quality products. Responsibilities The QA and Food Safety Technician ensures the food manufacturing plant complies with food safety regulations and meets product quality standards. Assist front-line supervisors to ensure GMP and HACCP programs are followed. Ensure facilities and manufacturing procedures adhere to quality standards with a focus on customer satisfaction, environmental awareness, product safety, and sanitation. Perform random on-floor quality inspections and regular internal audits to verify FDA standards are met. Conduct regular audits in the warehouse and factory to ensure corporate requirements are fulfilled. Oversee the training program and schedule for food safety and quality control. Verify raw materials meet quality criteria and supplier information is up to date; confirm final product integrity of chemicals, microbiological, and specifications where applicable. Conduct factory audits, including internal audits and daily pre-operational checks. Investigate non-conforming products or practices and implement corrective actions to improve procedures. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Food Science, Chemistry, Public Health, or Biological Science. Knowledge of food safety standards. Effective communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure. Must be computer literate. bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
