Manager, Quality Control - Clinical Lab

Ambry Genetics seeks a Manager of Quality Control for its clinical laboratory to oversee QC operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team responsible for quality standards and testing protocols. The role involves managing staff, developing quality systems, and coordinating with operations and automation teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage Quality Control department including staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Develop and maintain quality control systems, standards, and documentation for clinical laboratory
- Oversee proficiency testing, reagent qualification, and equipment maintenance activities
- Conduct quality assessments, risk evaluations, and health/safety reviews
- Support QA audits and collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality improvements
Requirements
- Previous management experience with direct report supervision
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or CGMBS licensure preferred
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory quality control processes and regulations
- Experience with quality assurance audits and compliance documentation
- Proficiency in equipment management and maintenance scheduling
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOP) development
Compensation: $120,000 - $155,000 base salary
