Join a healthcare setting focused on Long Term Care and Mail Order pharmacy services, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity in Slaton, TX. This role involves overnight shifts on a 7-on, 7-off schedule (9 PM to 8 AM) for a 13-week duration, with potential for direct hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and manage usage patterns in accordance with legal regulations.
• Ensure prescribed medicines are appropriate for each patient.
• Maintain confidential and precise patient records and pharmacy documentation.
• Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer related questions.
• Provide consultations on prescription and over-the-counter medication storage, dosage, side effects, and interactions.
• Deliver patient services including smoking cessation, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications for internal and external use, including sterile preparation following established procedures.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and address drug-related issues.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with a Texas pharmacy license.
• Experience in Long Term Care and Mail Order pharmacy is preferred.
• Proficient in sterile compounding techniques.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills.

Schedule:

• Overnight shifts, 7 days on and 7 days off from 9 PM to 8 AM.
