County Agency Social Worker

Job Duties Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services (DVHHS) is currently seeking qualified individuals to fill a full-time position for a County Agency Social Worker. DVHHS serves Cottonwood and Jackson Counties in Minnesota. This position is responsible for conducting assessments and providing on going case management and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing complex social, physical, and emotional health challenges, requiring a high level of skill and expertise. This role involves managing judicial processes and maintaining consistent communication with individuals, community partners, and service delivery providers. The position requires the ability to meet strict deadlines, develop comprehensive support plans, implement effective intervention strategies, and provide guidance to paraprofessional staff. This position will be required to provide on-call services, as scheduled, and callback assistance on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Minimum Education Required Minimum qualifications of education and experience for this position: This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in social work, psychology, sociology, or a closely related field; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in any field and one year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.
