Travel RN - TelemetryAmerican TravelerMilwaukee, Wisconsin, United StatesPosition ID: P-738647Assignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-02$2,252.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Med Surg/Tele unit requiring WI or compact RN license and 1-2 years of acute care experience.DetailsMed Surg/Telemetry unit (IU 6KLM) within a Level III Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center28-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:4-5 (days) and 1:6-8 (nights)Patient population includes rule-out chest pain, post-cath lab, CHF, AFib, rule-out CVA/TIA, post-IR, cellulitis, and AKI casesAverage patient stay of 36 hours with 2-3 admissions/discharges daily12-hour night shift schedule, 1900-0730, 36 hours per weekWeekend rotation required every other weekendNo on-call responsibilitiesFloating required to other Med/Surg units and ED Holding (1:4 ratio), with travelers floated firstUses EPIC EMR, Alaris pumps, Pyxis, and GE monitorsCentralized telemetry monitoring supported by tele tech coverage 24/7RequirementsActive WI or compact RN license requiredBLS certification requiredMinimum 1-2 years of acute care experience requiredSkills in ostomy care, drain management, IV therapy, and drip management (heparin, insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone) requiredExperience with admissions/discharges in a fast-paced environment preferredPrior observation unit experience preferredEPIC EMR experience requiredMinimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN requiredAdditional InformationProvide direct patient care on a fast-paced Med Surg/Telemetry unit with mostly ambulatory patientsNo ventilator or trach management requiredUnit supported by 24/7 charge nurse, unit secretary, hospitalist, respiratory therapy, and phlebotomy servicesOrientation includes 4-8 hours of NEO orientation plus one shift on the unitHoliday coverage required for one holiday per season (Christmas Eve/Day or New Year's Eve/Day)Must document pain levels before and after administering pain medication in accordance with facility protocolScrubs of any color accepted except camo or denimFree parking available in designated areasFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyLocal candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictionsFormer Advocate Health employees must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for this travel assignment
