Senior Billing Specialist

Senior Billing SpecialistA leading law firm is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist for its Century City office. This role partners closely with the Billing Manager, attorneys, clients, and other members of the Billing Department to manage the preparation, review, and submission of a high volume of monthly prebills and invoices, while also supporting complex billing matters, e-billing processes, client billing requirements, rate maintenance, and the resolution of billing-related issues. The Senior Billing Specialist oversees the prebill process from issuance through completion, tracking outstanding prebills and following up with attorneys to keep invoice submission on schedule. The role also manages multiple billing addresses, split bills, multi-payer matters, and consolidated or multi-matter billing, along with e-billing setup, rate submission and tracking, and the approval process. Additional responsibilities include investigating and appealing e-billing rejections, maintaining accurate client and matter billing information within the firm's billing system, supporting the Billing Manager on departmental operations and special projects, and providing responsive service to attorneys and clients.Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience in a law firm environment; experience with Aderant, Elite, or a comparable billing system is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
