Base pay rate is $16. 42 per hour 1st Shift: 7:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday, with potential for overtime Forklift Operators perform float loading activities to support the distribution of materials to customers and branch locations. In their day-to-day duties, they operate a forklift, overhead crane and construction tools. KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform float loading activities to optimize multiple loads for delivery coordination. - Perform material handling and machine/equipment operation duties in a safe and efficient manner to fulfill customer orders and business requirements. - Ensure machine and equipment is operating properly. - Complete orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage. - Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment. - Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system. - Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. - Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment. - Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. - High school diploma or GED required. - A combination of education and experience may be qualifying. - Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane. - Education – High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience – Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - Pace – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Communication – Effective communication abilities. - Physical Stamina – Ability to lift and move heavy items, often requiring the use of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. - Attention to Detail – Ensuring orders are processed accurately and inventory is managed correctly. - Organizational Skills – Efficiently organizing stock and maintaining a clean workspace. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Lifting Capacity – Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Mobility – Prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, etc. - Exposure – Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment. - Noise Tolerance – High noise levels.
