Inpatient Speech-Language Pathologist - Acute Care

Requirements
- Kansas SLP license required at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year SLP experience
- Experience with dysphagia/swallowing assessment and management
- Experience with cognitive and language rehab for adult/geriatric populations
- Experience with trach/vent patients and related care
- Familiarity with augmentative/alternative communication
- Proficiency in performing evaluations, treatment planning, and discharge processes
- Experience with the Epic charting system preferred

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits in adult and geriatric populations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies.
- Participate in discharge planning and transition processes.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Pre-approved time off: 1 (per posting)
- Floating may be expected to similar units as needed.
- Locals not accepted within a specified radius.
