Janitorial / Custodial Technician (Full‐Time)

Location: St. Louis, MO
Pay: $19–$22 per hour
Hours: 40+ hours per week, must be available to work Saturdays

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable Janitorial/Custodial Technician with at least 3- 5 years of experience in heavy cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and detailed building maintenance. We are a small, diverse, pet‐friendly apartment management company, and keeping our buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for tenants is our top priority.

Requirements (Must Have)

• Minimum 3-5 years janitorial/custodial experience
• Heavy cleaning, trash removal, buffers, stripping floors, deep cleaning, detail cleaning
• Ability to work around pets and interact positively with tenants
• Flexibility and willingness to follow instructions
• Reliable vehicle required
• Car and cellphone allowance provided
• Must be able to work Saturdays
• No formal resume required — but you must list where you worked and the dates of employment

Responsibilities

• Clean designated building areas (regular and heavy cleaning)
• Use buffers, heavy mops, scrubbers, ladders, and other cleaning equipment
• Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance activities
• Carry out large cleaning tasks and special projects
• Notify management of deficiencies or repair needs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Lift heavy trash and debris into dumpsters
• Cooperate with staff and maintain positive interactions with tenants
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Skills Needed

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience
• Ability to handle heavy trash and cleaning machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Strong integrity and ability to work independently
• Positive communication with tenants and staff
