Position Summary In addition to its 300 days of annual sunshine, breathtaking scenery, and reputation for some of the country's best brews, Denver ranks among the top 10 in Forbes’ 'Best cities for dogs 2024' list. Initially focused on producing livestock feed, the plant transitioned into a pet food-only manufacturer in 1972. Notably, our Denver location became the first-ever pet food factory to harness the power of solar energy. We currently produce 260,134 tons annually of Dog Chow®, Cat Chow®, Kit n Kaboodle®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE Beyond®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. Our Production Operators are the feeder group for all production-based operator positions within various production departments, which include Unloading, Dry Pet Processing, and Dry Pet Packing. Team members go through a training period and afterwards will be moved to one of several critical factory positions to operate, including Extruder Operator, Utility, Packing Operator, etc. In this position, you will enjoy competitive weekly pay starting at $30.56 an hour during the new hire probation period and increasing to $36.90 an hour when the probationary period has been successfully completed. Run packing lines and cross train to learn other lines. Make manual adjustments and troubleshoot when needed. Perform changeovers for various sizes and products on each line. Troubleshoot and complete preventative maintenance/clean and inspect checklist for equipment. Effectively work with interdepartmental personnel to maintain a good flow of safety, quality, and production information throughout the plant. Requirements High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience operating and troubleshooting machinery/equipment in a manufacturing, production, agricultural, military, or related environment. Pay: $30.56 per hour Bonus Eligibility:Yes The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
