The Special Procedures Technologist demonstrates the proficiency in the performance of examinations and operation of equipment in all locations including Main Radiology Department, Emergency Room X-ray area, portable/mobile units, fluoroscopic units, mobile fluoroscopic units (c-arms), O.R. Cysto Room.QualificationsResponsibilities:Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • Graduate of A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program.Experience And Skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • At least 1 years of Radiologic Technologist experience required. • 2 –3 years’ experience in Interventional Radiology imaging preferred.License/Certifications • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or equivalent, preferred and registration in the pertinent discipline • Holds current New York State Department of Health certificate of registration as a Radiologic Technologist.Working ConditionsOther information:Working Conditions• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn• Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time. • Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward. • Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. • Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, &/or in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently &/or 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.Job SummaryJob Type: FTEmployment Type: EMPLOYEELocation: Oceanside, NY, US
