What you’ll get to do in this role: Assists with the smooth operation of the collection process per policy by reviewing outstanding account WQs on a daily basis. Makes phone calls to request payments or to set up payment plans Receives and posts payments on account Analyzes accounts for possible eligibility as Charity Care Promotes payroll deductions on facility employees Sends Bad Debt accounts to collection agencies per policy for further collection action Reviews current patients by guidelines for potential HPE coverage or other public assistance Monitors deceased patient accounts and files probate, if applicable Processes small balance write-off on a regular basis Back-up daily cash receipts reconciliation Back-up in the phone chain for receptionist You’re an excellent fit, if you have: knowledge of hospital billing, preferred ability to remain tactful in conversations excellent clerical skills computer proficiency Benefits statement: LifeCare Medical Center offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying employees.
