Transportation Specialist (School Bus Driver) Serving Maine’s Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members. MSAD 75 is seeking a Transportation Specialist (School Bus Driver) to join our vibrant educational community. PAYRATE: $26.99 - $27.80/hour (DOE) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Transport all passengers including special education students over scheduled routes and/or from special excursions, ensuring efficient, safe transport and loading and unloading from the bus. Obey all traffic laws and observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses. Maintain discipline on the school bus at all times by following MSAD #75 policies and procedures, including student discipline procedures, field trip guidelines, and daily reporting requirements. Perform daily bus checks as required. Implement bus routes and field trips in accordance with assigned schedules. Notify the appropriate authorities in cases of mechanical failures, delays, or accidents. REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED/HiSET. Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization. Valid State of Maine School Bus License (CLD license with Passenger & School Bus Endorsement). A clean driving record with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Ability to read and correctly interpret route sheets. Familiar with district streets and roads is a plus. Physical ability to meet primary responsibilities. Ability to work well within a team. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
