Registered Diagnostic Medical SonographerSavannah OBGYN, PC5353 Reynolds St., Ste. 300, Savannah, GA 314055356 Reynolds St., Ste. 410, Savannah, GA 31405 Position Reports To: Practice ManagerEmail:View email address on ziprecruiter.com Type: Full-Time Job Summary: Under the clinical supervision of Physician or Practice Manager provides patient services using imaging modalities as employed. Performs majority of exams with minimal supervision. Produces two dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by Physician in diagnosis of disease and study of malfunction of organs by performing the following duties. Essential Job Responsibilities:Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience at Savannah OBGYN.Select equipment for use in ultrasound setup according to specifications of examination. Performs ultrasound examinations to assess the health and development of the female reproductive system and fetus during pregnancy.Has a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive system.Explains process to the patient and instructs and assists the patient in assuming physical position for examination.Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to organ to be examined, depth of field, and other specifications of test.Keys test data and patient information into computer ultrasound equipment to maintain record of test results.Moves transducer, by hand, over specified area of body and observes sound wave display screen to monitor quality of ultrasonic pattern produced.Starts equipment which produces imagines of internal organs and records diagnostic data on magnetic tape, computer desk, strip printout, or film.Performs or assists with other clinical or non-clinical duties as assigned by Supervisor or Provider.Collaborates and organizes daily work schedules with US team as assigned to meet the needs of the department.Exhibits a strong work ethic by reporting to work in a timely manner.Attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals when instructed.The team member must demonstrate current competencies applicable to job position.Accurately reports and charts in EHR. Education, Experience, and Requirements:Associate 's degree or equivalent to two-year college or technical schoolExperience in OBGYN .. A PlusARDMS registered in OBGYN ... A PlusNuchal Translucency certification preferred.  Work Hours:Full Time ... No nights /No weekendsSalary: Commensurate with Experience.
