Residential Driver - Up to $5k Sign On Bonus #26-669 Norwalk, Connecticut, United States Full-Time Job Description WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Residential Driver. They will operate heavy‑duty trucks and are responsible for the collection of residential household waste or recyclable material. The driver will transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycle facility when trucks reach legal load capacity. Drivers safely maneuver vehicles in residential environments and navigate high‑traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots. Responsibilities Operate vehicle in accordance with Life Critical Rules, OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal laws. Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of assigned vehicle and document checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report). Immediately report all unsafe situations or service‑related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch. Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as directed by the Route Manager. Work closely with Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices. Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Notify Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service or potential safety hazards. Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager. Completely dump all receptacles and leave the customer's location clean and free of debris. Follow route assignments as directed and complete end‑of‑day documentation and check‑out process. Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs. Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, vendors, co‑workers, and management. Qualifications Education and Experience: Education: None required. Experience: 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with an air‑brake endorsement.
