Pharmacy Technician Temporary

The Temporary Pharmacy Technician will be covering for a medical leave for six months. The assignment could be extended if needed but this will only be temporary work. The PT is responsible for assisting pharmacists with follow up for chronic diseases, scheduling, and reviewing prescription requests. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with follow up for chronic diseases, scheduling, and reviewing prescription requests. Provide timely and accurate provision of medications to patients. Prepare, package, document, and label drug products. Maintain the robotic filling system. Audit 340B prescriptions from 340B vendors. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited program for Pharmacy Technicians. At least one (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Retail pharmacy tech experience. Demonstrated experience with refill prescription standing protocols and medication prior authorizations. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Certification from American Heart Association (AHA). Knowledge of medical terminology, generic drug names, and pharmaceutical calculations. Current Driver's License, Reliable Transportation, and Clean Driving Record. Computer proficiency with pharmacy, Practice Management and Electronic Health Record systems, and the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
