Digital Production & Graphic Designer

Great opportunity in growing company! This person will be responsible for managing the print production and design of customer graphics orders. From concept to design to print. Must be comfortable learning and operating copiers, binding equipment, large format printers, laminators, and other print production equipment. In addition to effective conceptualization abilities, strong design skills, and technical expertise, the Graphic Designer must be highly collaborative by nature and must have demonstrated strengths in graphics design, project management, and communication. This role will also expertly advise our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, print and design services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry. The ideal candidate has at least one to two years of experience in a print production/graphic design role or a two-year degree in graphic design or a related field. The ideal candidate must also have full mastery of various design programs including Adobe-based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), and Microsoft Office, knowledge of printing concepts, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor. He or she is driven to succeed and is an energetic self-starter and team-player who is trustworthy and a fast learner. RESPONSIBILITIES Understands and fulfills the needs of walk-in customers and telephone/email inquiries Communicates effectively and continuously practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and leadership Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience Prepares and assembles images and illustrative material and copy and manages layout for publication Develops creative concepts and builds graphic solutions for customers Prepares/completes the creative concepts, graphic design, pre-press work, and technical specifications necessary to complete projects Completes pre-press set up in Adobe based platforms (Acrobat InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Produces/designs, proofs, and updates materials for customer projects Develops as a team player and is critical to the production process Consistently follows up on production activity using various communication methods (telephone, email, etc.) Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS One to two years of experience in graphic design or the print industry or a two-year degree in graphic design or a related field Strong computer and internet skills (multiple platforms) including Microsoft Office Expertise with Adobe based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) on PC Able to manage and optimize workload, prioritize multiple projects, and streamline the production flow Must demonstrate be highly organized and exhibit extreme attention to detail in design work Skilled in copyediting/proofreading and desktop publishing Good communication and people skills Must be an energetic self-starter who is driven to succeed Excellent written and verbal communication skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Referral program Experience: Graphic design: 1 year (Required) Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Required) Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr West Valley Graphics & Print
