MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC

US Marine Corps

Job Duties

You will disassemble/repair/reassemble valves including primary system valves requiring radiological contamination controls.

You will replace pumps and pump mechanical seals.

You will perform primary and secondary system valve adjustments.

You will repack nuclear secondary and primary system valves.

You will interpret and apply the requirements contained in technical work documents, technical manuals, shop directives, multi-view blueprints.

You will make the necessary templates, jigs, and other fixtures required for repair or installation utilizing knowledge of materials and their versatility.
