Resicum International LLC is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II – Avionics to support the KC-135 Contractor Field Team (CFT) Support Services program. This is a full-time position based at Fairchild AFB, Washington , with travel to CONUS and OCONUS TDY locations as mission requirements dictate, and is contingent upon contract award .
The Aircraft Mechanic II – Avionics is responsible for performing Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level (O/I/D) maintenance on KC-135 aircraft electrical and avionics systems. This position performs inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, component replacement, operational testing, and preventive maintenance while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with U.S. Air Force Technical Orders, maintenance procedures, and contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will diagnose and repair complex avionics and electrical system discrepancies, remove and install avionics components, conduct operational and functional system checks, and ensure aircraft systems are fully mission capable. Working as part of a Contractor Field Team, the Aircraft Mechanic II – Avionics supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft launch and recovery operations, and worldwide deployed maintenance missions while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of KC-135 aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
- Remove, install, configure, and operationally test avionics components and associated electrical equipment.
- Conduct operational and functional system checks to verify aircraft system performance and mission readiness.
- Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and inspection maintenance in accordance with U.S. Air Force Technical Orders and maintenance procedures.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance publications.
- Utilize aircraft test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify and correct avionics and electrical system malfunctions.
- Accurately document maintenance actions in aircraft forms and maintenance records.
- Support aircraft launch, recovery, and mission generation activities.
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards, tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, and workplace safety programs.
- Coordinate with maintenance leadership and fellow technicians to ensure timely completion of maintenance requirements.
- Support CONUS and OCONUS deployments in support of Contractor Field Team mission requirements.

Requirements:- This position is contingent upon contract award.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in aircraft avionics, electronics, or electrical systems preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of avionics maintenance experience on a U.S. Air Force wide-body aircraft ( KC-135 preferred ) or equivalent military aircraft.
- Thorough knowledge of Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level (O/I/D) aircraft maintenance procedures.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and operationally testing military aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
- Proficiency removing, installing, configuring, and testing avionics components, electrical wiring, and associated aircraft systems.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex avionics system discrepancies.
- Experience using aircraft electrical test equipment, diagnostic tools, and support equipment.
- Proficiency interpreting U.S. Air Force Technical Orders (TOs), wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and maintenance publications.
- Experience performing scheduled, unscheduled, and inspection maintenance on military aircraft.
- Experience completing aircraft maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with Air Force standards.
- Knowledge of maintenance quality assurance, tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, and workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to support aircraft launch, recovery, and mission generation activities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Current Secret Security Clearance required.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred.
- Previous KC-135 avionics maintenance experience preferred.
- Previous experience supporting U.S. Air Force depot maintenance, field maintenance, Contractor Field Team (CFT) operations, or Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) programs preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport.
- Must be willing and able to travel to Fairchild AFB, Washington, and worldwide CONUS/OCONUS TDY locations in support of mission requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all customer-required clearances and meet all company, customer, and U.S. Government pre-employment requirements.
