RN-First Assist Certified

We are seeking a Registered Nurse - First Assist Certified to provide direct support to surgeons during surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities Include Positioning patients for optimal surgical exposure, ensuring safety and comfort. Implementing physician orders to visualize the operative site through tissue manipulation, retraction, suctioning, and irrigation. Achieving hemostasis using appropriate techniques. Assisting with wound closure, applying dressings, and securing drainage systems. Applying evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs. Maintaining safety and alertness throughout duties. Performing additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications Include Completion of an RNFA program meeting AORN standards or equivalent. At least two years of RN experience in advanced surgical specialties. Current RN licensure in Missouri or a Compact State. CRNFA certification from CCI or NASC. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA. Skills required: strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, ability to work in a high-alert environment, and physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving patients and equipment.
