Director Of Real Estate
RETS Associates, on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing clean energy company developing premium electric vehicle charging infrastructure across California, is seeking a Director of Real Estate based in Redondo Beach to lead the company's site acquisition strategy. This individual will be responsible for sourcing and securing locations for new EV charging stations while managing the full real estate process—from market identification and site selection through lease negotiation and execution—in close partnership with Development, Finance, and executive leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative organization at the forefront of sustainable transportation and play a key role in its continued growth.
Responsibilities:
- Source and secure new development opportunities across target markets.
- Build relationships with brokers, property owners, developers, and other industry partners.
- Evaluate sites using market data, demographics, traffic patterns, utility infrastructure, and financial analysis.
- Conduct preliminary due diligence, including zoning, entitlements, and utility feasibility.
- Negotiate LOIs, ground leases, easements, and other real estate agreements.
- Present investment opportunities and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with Development, Construction, Engineering, and Finance to support market expansion.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of commercial real estate experience in acquisitions, site selection, or development.
- Proven track record negotiating and closing commercial real estate transactions.
- Strong financial analysis and underwriting skills.
- Established California broker and property owner network preferred.
- Experience with EV infrastructure, retail, hospitality, fuel and convenience, or other multi-site operating businesses is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Compensation: $160K-$180K base range plus bonus potential DOE
