Cook Position
At Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center, we're dedicated to providing outstanding healthcare in a beautiful environment with luxurious accommodations and amenities. As a Full-time Cook, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive delicious and nutritious meals that cater to their dietary needs. With a focus on providing an exceptional dining experience, you'll join a team of passionate healthcare professionals who are committed to exceeding our residents' expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food daily as outlined on the menu, ensuring that each dish is cooked to perfection and meets our high standards
- Assist with menu planning, reviewing and adjusting menus with your supervisor to ensure variety and quality
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of food to prevent contamination and waste
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a cook in a healthcare or foodservice setting
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods
Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center is situated on a spacious campus in Blackwood, New Jersey. As a comprehensive nursing home, we offer a range of healthcare services, including rehabilitative therapy, skilled nursing care, post-surgical care, long-term care, Alzheimer's and dementia care, as well as respite and palliative care.
