Location: Walterboro, SC
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $40 to $52/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services for elementary and middle school students. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic achievement, behavioral success, and emotional well-being across two school locations.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to determine students' educational and behavioral needs.
Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive psychological reports.
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to eligibility determinations.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and support staff to develop intervention strategies.
Provide behavioral consultation and crisis intervention services as needed.
Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate educational and behavioral supports.
Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
Required Qualifications
Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure.
South Carolina Department of Education (SC DOE) certification.
Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students.
Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessments, IEP processes, and special education regulations.
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience serving multiple school sites.
Experience working within public school settings.
