Shipping Technician OpportunityExcellent opportunity for a Shipping Technician in Scott City, MO! Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend.MUST have a valid driver's license. ADDITIONAL $3 PER HOUR IF YOU HAVE A VALID CLASS A CDL! Don't have a CDL? We may pay for you to get one and provide the additional pay upon passing and receiving Class A CDL license.Position Purpose:Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for the execution of the plant predetermined load-out and packaging schedule, plant sanitation, material handling and general support of operations.Position Responsibilities and Duties:Performing duties as directed by others to ensure the following duties are managed accurately and timely:Shipping Responsibilities:Execute the shipping process as directed by the Operations Supervisor / Mill SuperintendentEnsuring adherence to packaging, load-out and mill production schedulesFacility SanitationUtilizing good manufacturing processesPrime product and hominy load-outMonitor key indicator for quality, productivity, and utilizationUtilize the IMS and SPC where applicableResponsible for quality of work within areaMaintain work environment in a clean and orderly fashionQuality, Safety and Sanitation:Follow all Personnel Safety policies/procedures, including the use of proper PPE, as well as ensure the safe use of required tools and equipmentFollow all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, GMP's, Sanitation and general plant policies/proceduresInspect products for overall appearance according to customer and QA/Food Safety requirements and communicate with supervisor when non-conforming products are presentCommunicate all safety or environmental issues to supervisors/managersAt end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping dutiesComplete necessary paperwork for documenting process parameters and recordkeeping requirementsOpen Communications to be a team player and do other tasks as necessary.Essential Skills:This position actively engages in daily operations and is engaged in supporting policies and procedures in accordance with the company Vision, Values, and Strategic Objectives.Education Level: High School Diploma or GEDRelated Experience: Shipping/bulk loading experience preferredTeam orientedValid driver's license requiredPhysical and Mental Requirements:This position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness, and stamina for the length of an entire 12-hour work shift each day. Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position.
