Communications Department Student Assistant

The Berklee Composition Department is hiring a Communications Department Student Assistant. Expected hours per week: 5. Expected dates and times of shifts: varies, week 1 to week 14.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proofread weekly newsletter
• Attend department events for social media documentation (concerts, masterclasses, etc.)
• Spearhead initiatives to increase engagement on department social media pages
• Share department announcements on social media (Facebook, Instagram)
• Support on campus events as needed (setup, breakdown, hang posters around campus, etc.)

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong writing/proofreading skills for newsletter
• Punctual, organized and self-motivated
• In-touch with Composition Department activities
• Fluency in poster design software (Canva)

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

• Innovative ideas for social media (Instagram and Facebook)

Hourly rate: $16.45
