Private Client Advisor

Job Summary Location: 90 SE Pioneer Way, Oak Harbor, Washington. The Private Client Advisor will focus on our Mass Affluent client base, using a planning and financial wellness methodology to lead with these concepts. Essential Functions Grow new clients and expand existing relationships with clients having more than $50,000 in investable assets, targeting a consistent sales process and financial plan for clients and prospects with $250,000 to $2 million in investable assets. Host holistic Financial Wellness conversations and complete comprehensive financial plans to uncover full household and relationship growth opportunities, including investments and banking, and refer accordingly. Utilize a consultative sales process and assessment tools, provide comprehensive, needs‑based financial solutions to clients, and partner with banking center staff. Achieve sales production and referral goals to the Bank (closed and accepted) through work with the book of business, lead lists, and closing on received referrals. Develop a complete understanding of Key Investment Services solutions to support cross‑selling opportunities and learn core bank products to generate quality, qualified referrals back to the LOBs of the Consumer Bank where appropriate. Be an active member and participant of the Branch team, engaging with licensed and non‑licensed Branch personnel to identify investment referral opportunities from new and existing bank client bases. Coordinate all aspects of investment product delivery within assigned Branch(es), including in‑person coaching and mentoring of branch personnel, client management, service delivery and other resources to maximize client needs and best‑interest‑based sales production. Develop a strong Center of Influence strategy that leverages partnerships throughout the Consumer Bank. Education High School Diploma or equivalent experience (required). Bachelor's Degree (preferred). Licenses and Certifications FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) – upon hire (required). FINRA License S7 – upon hire (required). FINRA License S66 or S63 and 65 – upon hire (required). Certified Financial Planner (CFP) – (preferred). Resident State Insurance Licenses (Life, Variable, and Accident/Health or Life & Disability) – (required). Skills Broad knowledge of characteristics and needs of clients and partners within the bank‑based investment market space. Demonstrated ability to sell products and services to investment clients; evidence of strong sales results. Strong client‑centric focus. Proven ability to work as a collaborative team member. Ability to use standard office equipment and proprietary financial services systems. Physical Demands General Office – prolonged sitting, communicate face‑to‑face or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks or computer bags up to 10 lbs. Travel – occasional travel, including overnight stay. Driving – may need to drive to multiple locations in a single day; must operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license. Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible to earn commission and deferred incentive compensation. The role also includes a base salary of $80,168.00 annually and eligibility for short‑term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to performance.
