Asset Management Associate or Analyst

Overview We’re seeking an Asset Manager, Asset Management Associate, Senior Analyst, or Analyst to support the financial performance, operations, and strategic growth of a retail shopping center portfolio. This role partners closely with Asset Management, Property Management, Leasing, Finance, Legal, and Ownership to analyze property performance, support budgeting and forecasting, review leases, assist with acquisitions and underwriting, coordinate capital projects, and provide reporting that drives portfolio‑level decision‑making. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, commercial real estate experience, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations that enhance asset value and long‑term returns. Responsibilities Support development and execution of asset management plans for retail shopping centers Analyze property financials including rent rolls, budgets, variances, and operating expenses Monitor performance trends and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and NOI Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Review vendor contracts and pricing to support operational efficiency Analyze AR/AP reports and support financial controls Review leases, renewals, and tenant documentation for accuracy and compliance Support lease negotiations, renewals, and tenant performance evaluation Assist with sourcing, underwriting, and evaluating acquisition opportunities Build and maintain cash flow models (ARGUS Enterprise + advanced Excel) Conduct scenario modeling, valuation analysis, and prepare investment summaries Coordinate due diligence across legal, financial, environmental, and operational areas Support oversight of property operations, maintenance, vendor performance, and capital projects Use Yardi to track budgets, invoices, CAM reconciliations, and operational data Conduct market research using CoStar and other industry data sources Support leasing efforts, tenant sourcing, occupancy strategy, and vacancy reduction Assist with compliance, risk management, and review of property‑related agreements Prepare recurring financial, operational, and leasing performance reports Track KPIs including NOI, occupancy, collections, and expense performance Requirements Bachelors degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field 2–5 years of experience in commercial real estate, asset management, acquisitions, property management, or financial analysis (shopping center experience preferred) Strong financial and analytical skills with experience in modeling, reporting, and performance analysis Understanding of CRE fundamentals including leasing structures, rent rolls, CAM, and operating expenses Experience with lease review, tenant analysis, and basic negotiation support preferred Ability to interpret financial and operational data and provide actionable recommendations Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work cross‑functionally Highly organized with strong project coordination and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently while supporting senior team members #J-18808-Ljbffr CRE Finance Council
