Hospital Lab Manager

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Manager for its core lab at a Columbia, South Carolina hospital. The role involves directing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining service standards for diagnostic testing.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily operational activities of core lab, managing technical and non-technical operations
- Manage department staffing, production schedules, and overtime to ensure adequate coverage
- Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory supervisors and departmental staff
- Ensure laboratory compliance with CAP, CLIA, state, federal, and ISO regulations
- Resolve client inquiries and operational issues in consultation with medical and technical leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
- 4+ years of experience as a technologist in clinical diagnostics laboratory
- ASCP or AMT MT certification
- Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems and Microsoft Office
- Proven success training and developing technical and non-technical staff
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
