Histology Technologist II Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231 Work hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 2:00am – 10:30am Anatomic Pathology Department highlights Frozen Section Assistance Special Stains Immunohistochemistry Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or equivalent required Associate Degree preferred Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred One-year experience in histopathology preferred HT (ASCP) Histotechnician required within 6 months from hire HTL (ASCP) Histotechnologist required within 6 months from hire What You Will Do Follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, handling, and processing. Surgical pathology dissection assistance. Cuts and stains, thin quality frozen sections within 20 minutes of receipt to diagnosis. Embedding. Performs special stains. Evaluate stains. Gives proper notification when supplies need to be ordered.
